The Biewer (pronounced Beaver) Terrier is an elegant long-haired, tri-colored toy terrier developed in Germany in the 1980s. Their uniquely colored, flowing, soft, silky coat comes in blue/black and gold/tan, and gold/tan and white colors with its straight hair, parted in the middle, hanging close to the ground. The Biewer Terrier was recognized as a breed by the AKC in 2021. 

This whimsical toy breed is light-hearted, intelligent, and amusing. Biewer Terriers are friendly with strangers and often express their happiness with a cheerful smile. Their fun-loving, childlike attitude makes them a devoted, loyal, and obedient companion for people of all ages making them the perfect family pet.   

Despite their small stature, Biewer Terriers are hearty and athletic, while moving with confidence and grace. They are quick to alert you to visitors without being incessant barkers.
